Jennifer Engel Fisher
Jennifer Engel Fisher holds a Masters of Science from The Johns Hopkins University, with a Certificate in Special Education. She has a B.S. in Child Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with a Certificate in Elementary Education. Jennifer has 13 years of experience teaching in both public and private schools, in a variety of settings from general education to special education inclusion classes. As a Language Arts Resource Teacher at the Lowell School, Jennifer co-wrote curriculum, as well as modified content to accommodate students with different learning styles and abilities.
Jennifer also has expertise in a wide range of methodologies, including: Understanding by Design (UbD); Differentiated Instruction using the UbD framework; Orton-Gillingham Phonology Reading Program; Project Read Program; Junior Great Books; Stevenson Reading Program; Glass Analysis Reading Program; and Fundations Reading Program. Jennifer also has experience administering and interpreting the Woodcock-Johnson Achievement Tests.
Jennifer is the Assistant Director of Weinfeld Education Group. She has a broad advocacy practice, covering elementary through high school grades. Jennifer also conducts in-home organizational coaching for middle school through college age students, creating workable plans that lead to self-reliance. Jennifer acts as a consultant to schools, providing them with methods of meeting the needs of their student population within their curriculum standards. She worked with WEG to create a complete curriculum and school review for Kingsbury Day School in Washington, DC.
