Biography:

Norman Maynard teaches writing and literature at The Nora School. He was principal of Thornton Friends upper school in Silver Spring for eleven years, and served as interim Head of School for the past year. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Catholic University, and a Masters of Art in Writing from the University of San Francisco. All together, he has been working with adolescents and their families for fifteen years, and continues to search for new and innovative ways to help them become fulfilled individuals and positive members of the local and global communities. He has three children, all boys, ages 13, 11 and 8.
