Biography:

Dr. Shapiro was an undergraduate at Michigan State University. He received his Medical Degree in 1982 from George Washington University. He did his Pediatric Residency Training at Children's Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, D. C. After thirteen years of practicing General Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine in Silver Spring, Maryland he has exclusively practiced Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics out of his home office in Rockville, Maryland.

Dr. Shapiro is Board Certified in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine and Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a Member of the Society for Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics and the American Neuropsychiatric Association, and an Assistant Clinical Professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine. He is married and has four children.
